Biography
|
Hsin-Yi obtained her PhD degree in the Institute of Applied Arts at the National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan in 2017 and MA degree in Communication Design at the Kingston University, UK in 2004. Her PhD dissertation focuses on the studies of moving images, particularly on the Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky. Between 2014 and 2015, she visited the University of California Berkeley, USA, for exchange studies, sponsored by TUSA (Taiwan-United States Sister Relations Alliance) funding. Her research interests include film studies, theories of embodied spectatorship, art philosophy, and visual arts. Between 2004 and 2010, prior to her academic film approach, she worked in the industry, implementing various arts and design projects.
